Gym & Trim is located on Cardinal Park Ipswich in a modern and superbly located facility, and have been operating in Ipswich for over 27 years.
At its new site (15,000s/ft) they have completed extensive expansion work in order to retain a larger mixed training zone, but more importantly in there eyes a ladies training zone. At the same time given the increase in membership numbers there have been able to increase staffing numbers considerable, so as to continue with their mission to be the the best in customer service, as they feel this to be the only way to compete in such a difficult market for the smaller individual clubs.

The unusual thing about Gym & Trim is that it started out in 1978 providing a small 2000s/ft gym in Charles Street, Ipswich with Ladies and men using it on alternate days, after a few years (1984) they moved to larger facilities (10,000s/ft) on Lower Orwell Street, Ipswich providing two gyms, one for Ladies and one for Men.
Since moving in it has been a constant programme of redeveloping the structure of the club and facilities, with much of the change influenced by member’s suggestions/requirements.


Gym and Trim still believes and values instructor client contact. Unlike many of our competitors we still believe that all members regardless of previous experience should have the option and opportunity to be shown round the gym and have the expertise of one our highly qualified REP registered trainers.
As a new client you would receive an initial 4 ”free” appointments comprising of a programme design, Phase 1 health evaluation, programme review and a second programme re-design. These four appointments are recommended to be taken within the first 3 months, as it is proven to increase the prospect of goals or targets being met and can improve motivation.
Of course as well as the 2 gyms we also have a wide range of other facilities on site.
